Wasabi DX Review

Introduction

Wasabi DX, one of the fourth generation Nintendo Wii U modification chip is a plug n play solderless modchip.  All you need to open your WiiU (remember, you will lose its warranty), then just unplug a few wires, and plug in the chip and you are done.  The chip allows you to play all your legal backup collection on it and also you can make backup copies of your favorite game collection to safe keep them. It has full compatibility with all the drives currently available in the market like DMS, D2A, D2B, D2C, D2C2, D2E, epoxy D2E and D2nothing/D3 drives. It also has a JTAG connector to use with a JTAG programmer for updating the chip.
It also has some advanced options like auto booting of games, Update Blocker to block updates from import games. It also lets you play imported games from other regions. The chip is made up of very high quality components and you need not worry about its life.

Installation & Usage

The installation process is very easy. Just open up your Wii using a Triwing screwdriver and a Philips head screwdriver and then plug in the Wasabi-DX chip using flexcables and put your Wii back together. After installing all the updates, using the Wasabi DX is very simple. Just insert your backup and it will itself get loaded.
